Bikini and Zombies July 21, 2010 Dallas Winters (Maryland) Hack and slash button mash. Its a good game, nice visuals (again duh) a little easy after awhile but its worth picking up for the price Wii is still awesome.
Zombie Slashing Fun June 16, 2010 1koolkat (Morgan Hill, CA) Based on previous reviews and my addiction to zombie killing games, (Left 4 Dead, House of the Dead, Resident Evil, etc.,) I purchased this one. This is a fun melee, sword-slashing 1st person game. I was hoping for a larger variety of weapons, mainly guns, however, I was still entertained by the game. The drawbacks for me were the explanations for the special moves. The explanations were not in the manual at all, and very weakly written in the game "tutorial." Due to this frustration, I didn't give the game a full five stars, and still have trouble with certain creatures that require the special moves. The game also gets kind of repetitive as you move through different mazes with increasingly tougher zombies to slash through, however, if you like the zombie-killing genre, this game is fun and worth the low price.
Extremely Fun April 11, 2010 Gabriel A. Peltz (Ridgecrest, CA) So many titles for the Wii are so little-kid-cutesy that it makes my pancreas burn. Onechnbara: Bikini Zombie Slayers changed all that. This game was fun right out of the box. It was at first a challenge because it was new and the moves were new to me. The "trash" zombies are not too difficult (on normal mode) but are excellent for practicing the moves. You get experience for killing them which builds your character's stats. The boss fights aren't impossible but I found them just hard enough (again, on normal mode) to be irritatingly challenging.
There are aspects to the game I don't understand yet, but that's where the replayability comes in. I have so much more to work on in this game. I only just noticed that we opened two new characters with new story lines... YES!!!
At the ludicrously low price this game is going for, this game is a must have. Violence high; gore not as high as you'd think, but bloody (which you can change to different colors); bikini level good! Buy it!
Poor Controls April 9, 2010 Sir Loyne (NH) When I first played this game I thought it was pretty good. When I realized there was more to this game than just a bunch of stick wiggling, that's when the game went downhill. In order to do a "Hand Thrust", you swing the remote vertically 3x, pause, then thrust the remote forward... OK, easy enough. In order to do a "Chaotic Luster Maelstrom" (basically slashing the sword back and forth), you swing the remote vertically 3x, pause, then swing the remote horizontally. The problem here is that, for me anyway, it acts like I'm thrusting it forward. Over and over and over... I may have gotten this move off twice, if I'm lucky. There are "Cool Combos" you can do if you can time your swing right, but there's really no way to tell when to swing. The screen will flash white if you happen to get a "Cool Hit", but if you get one wrong, you may as well stop and try again. Maybe you paused too long, or maybe not enough? Who can tell? This basically ruins the game. I'm sure you can make it to the end just wiggling the remote, but in the end, you can't get the cool moves off, and stick wiggling gets dull pretty fast. And don't bother looking for help in the manual, there are 3 languages in it, and there are literally 3 pages for each, so that's completely useless.
