Amazon.com Product Description
The Borderlands Double Game Add-on Pack for Xbox 360 contains the first two digital download add-on content packs released for the popular first-person shooter Borderlands, now consolidated on a single game disc. Loaded with tons of release specific missions, over-the-top zombie and riot arena combat that includes single and multiplayer action and exclusive Xbox Achievements, the combination of The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned and Mad Moxxi's Underdome Riot serves as the perfect compliment to the original game. Game Add-ons Included Eliminate the hordes of undead on Zombie Island. View larger. | Enter the riot arenas of Mad Moxxi's Underdome. View larger. | Take aim in round based combat in single player and multiplayer. View larger. | Borderlands: The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned is the initial add-on pack for Borderlands. Originally released as a digital content download, action in it is centered in the town and surrounding areas of Jacob's Cove, which is on the fictional Jakobs Corporation owned Island unofficially named Zombie Island. Here players are tasked with the completion of 20 exclusive Borderlands missions, involving the zombie infestation of the island, as well as various optional side quests. As the name of the island suggests, players will be kept busy honing their skills at killing zombies, zombie bosses and the other undead beings as efficiently as possible. In-game money is earned for these kills and available weapons come both in the form of randomly generated weapons and unique items taken off defeated bosses. The level of undead action experienced is directly tied to players' progression within the single player campaign within the main game, making for gameplay closely tied to the main game, and a zombie fest not to be missed. Key Game Features - The new explorable region of Jocob's Cove, containing further sub-regions.
- 20 unique Borderland missions.
- New undead enemies, including Pumpkin Heads, Tankenstein and others.
- Five new Xbox Achievements.
- New unique weapons.
Borderlands: Mad Moxxi's Underdome Riot is the second add-on pack for Borderlands re-released on disc following initial availability via digital download. Designed with a Mad Mad Thunderdome ethic and feel, action here occurs within a series of spaces known as riot arenas where the changing rules, commentary and mood are provided entirely at the whim of the over-the-top and seductive ringmistress, Moxxi. Within the matches, both single player against AI and multiplayer player, players rack up kills using a variety of weapons and shields, earning themselves skill points and in-game loot that can be stored at an in-game bank. Combat occurs via a series of rounds, which are in turn made up of a number of waves and eventually lead to a boss battle. As action progress Moxxi adds and changes rules, making for a challenging affair. Unlike earlier content releases for Borderlands, Mad Moxxi's Underdome Riot allows for co-op functionality which both ratchets up the fun and increases players chances of success as the competition rises in later rounds. Key Game Features - Three new Riot Arenas.
- Multiplayer support, including coop, in arena battles.
- An in-game bank to store collected items and avoid cluttering your growing inventory.
- Skill points as mission rewards.
- New game mode, with waves of enemies.
- Five new Xbox Achievements.

mind numbing at times August 24, 2010 S. Nelson (Honolulu, Hi) There are two game add-ons in this package. The first, The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned was fun but the never ending hordes of zombies became mind numbing at times but it was fun nonetheless. Overall, I would give this add-on a 4. The Underdome is simply 35 rounds of arena action with each round consisting of 5 waves. A whole lot of repetitive stuff in this game. After completing the required 5 rounds in each arena, the player then progresses to the main arena where he plays 20 rounds to "turn in" his/her victory in the qualifying rounds. If you leave the game at anytime during the 20 round segement, you lose all your progress. Plan on dedicating a minimum of 6 hours to complete this, perhaps more. I can't give a zero to the Underdome so it gets a 1 because of the repetitiveness and inability to save progress. I could only give the complete package a rating of 2 because of my dislike for the the Underdome part. You will not receive any money/weapon rewards or any experience points in Borderlands for completing these add-on games nor will you receive any gamer points if you keep track of those.
zombie's good, mad moxxi is just ok August 24, 2010 agrose The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned is a solid add on. It add's some new missions and is pretty fun to play. None of them are terribly difficult, but it gives you something else to do.
Mad Moxxi just adds some tournament modes. There are three arena's and you go round after round until you die or you win. It's similar to firefight in Halo: ODST, as when you get to the fifth round you start getting little things that change the status of either you or the enemies or both. If you like this type of gameplay then it's pretty good, but I'm not personally a huge fan of mindless killing with no objective. You also don't gain experience during the rounds which is a bummer.
Hours of fun! July 28, 2010 Jarrett 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
Borderland's is a fantastic game, I'd recommend it to anybody who enjoys shooters or RPG's. There are tons of weapons, great comedy, or an overall great feel to the game. It has many hours of playtime, and even the all excited multiple playthrough, where you get to maintain your level and equipment, and stronger enemies.
But what people in all of these comments aren't realizing is that this is just the DLC that is available on X-Box Live. The DLC that is significantly easier, and faster, and most importantly cheaper to get. You can get these very same addons from Xbox Live for half the price tag. And you won't be paying any shipping and handling.
Great game July 14, 2010 Ashley 0 out of 3 found this review helpful
Game was brand new, great condition. My bf loves to play it. Would buy from again!
Pretty Good July 13, 2010 JW (California) Mad Moxxi was not as fun as I had hoped. The bank was the best addition for that DLC. I liked Dr. Ned. It was fun busting up zombies. If you don't do side missions, this addition is not very long. If you are looking for the best deal for Borderlands addons, get The Secret Armory Of General Knoxx. It is the best addon so far.
